The NHS Wales Modelling Collaborative's (WMC) next Data Hackathon for Health and Care decision makers, analysts and coders in Wales 4-5th Nov 2020
The NDR SeRP will help to facilitate the next NHS Wales Modelling Collaborative Data Hackathon, in partnership with ONS data scientists. The event will be taking place virtually via Microsoft Teams on 4th and 5th November 2020. Participants will spend the day working on challenging data questions posed by decision makers in health and care in Wales. This event will focus on questions raised as priority areas by clinicians, managers and decision makers at previous WMC events and activity this year
To tackle these exciting questions you will need to use analytical thinking, experimentation with linked data and innovative use of open source resources.
Who is this event for?
This event is an opportunity for decision makers, enthusiastic analysts / data scientists, and skilled problem structurers to work together to explore burning health and care questions. This event is open to people who work within or are affiliated with NHS Wales. Places for participants without a direct Health and Care affiliation are limited, and will be asked to work on open source data challenges. Registration is essential – The number of participants is limited to ensure that a cross section of appropriately skilled participants can attend. Please discuss attending with your manager, and submit an expression of interest to apply for a place by the 23rd October 2020.
The timing of the Hackathon is 09:00 to 16:00 via TEAMS. Lunch will be a set time 12.30 pm to 13.00 pm. In fairness to all participants, we ask everyone to commit to attend both days.
